Everything this website keeps about you, where it’s kept, and how to have it deleted. Last updated September 16, 2026.
Who we are
Presque Isle Fish & Farm is a fish market at 2769 W 8th St, Erie, PA. You can reach us at (814) 520-5047 or pifish23@gmail.com.
Exactly what we keep
It depends on what you do here. We don’t know who you are unless you give us your email address.
If you just look around
- What’s kept
- Which pages you view, how long you stay, your type of device and browser, the site that sent you here, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. Microsoft Clarity also keeps where you tap and scroll, and a replay of each page with anything you type hidden. Our web host keeps a log of each page request: the page, the time, your IP address and your type of browser.
- Where
- Google Analytics, under a random ID. No name or email is attached. Microsoft Clarity, under a new random ID for each page. Vercel, our web host.
- How long
- Google keeps the visit-by-visit detail for 2 months, and the random ID’s history for 14 months after your last visit. Clarity keeps replays for 30 days. Vercel keeps its request logs for one day.
If you join our email list
- What’s kept
- Your email address, which sign-up box you used, and when. For 10 minutes we also keep your IP address, so nobody can flood the form with spam.
- Where
- Our database, on a server our web developer, Stray Web Design, rents from Hetzner in Germany. We also get an email about it at pifish23@gmail.com. It’s sent through our web developer’s Gmail account, which keeps a copy.
- How long
- Until you come off the list. After that we keep your address marked as off the list, so it’s never added back by mistake, until you ask us to delete it.
If you ask for a wholesale account
- What’s kept
- Your business name, your name, email and phone number, and anything you write in the note. Once the account is open, we also keep the time you last signed in and our own notes on the account. You sign in with Google, which tells us your email address and that it’s yours, and nothing else. We never see or keep a password. For 10 minutes we also keep your IP address, so nobody can flood the form with spam.
- Where
- Our database, on a server our web developer, Stray Web Design, rents from Hetzner in Germany. We also get an email about it at pifish23@gmail.com. It’s sent through our web developer’s Gmail account, which keeps a copy.
- How long
- Until the account is closed. When we close it, we delete it and take your name, email, phone number and note off your past orders.
If you order wholesale
- What’s kept
- What you ordered, the day you want it, any note you add, and your business name, name, email and phone number.
- Where
- Our database, on a server our web developer, Stray Web Design, rents from Hetzner in Germany. We also get an email about it at pifish23@gmail.com. It’s sent through our web developer’s Gmail account, which keeps a copy.
- How long
- We keep orders as our record of what we delivered. When your account is closed, or when you ask, we remove your name, email, phone number and note from them. The business name and what was ordered stay.
Cookies, and why there’s no banner
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_ZVT1NNNH1B, so it can tell a repeat visit from a new one. Microsoft Clarity sets none. Those are the only cookies this site sets for visitors.
If you have a wholesale account, signing in sets one more, pif_wholesale, which keeps you signed in for 14 days. Our staff sign-in uses its own, only on staff devices.
Your browser may also keep a small note for the site, like when you closed the email sign-up box. It holds nothing about you and never leaves your device.
You won’t see a cookie banner. Instead, the site obeys the privacy signal your browser already sends, explained below. Brave and the DuckDuckGo browser send it on their own, and Firefox sends it once you switch it on in its privacy settings.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We honor both. When the site sees one, neither Google Analytics nor Microsoft Clarity loads for that visit and no cookie is set. Our web host still logs the page request, as every web server does.
How we use it
We use your information to email you about what’s in, to set up and run wholesale accounts, to fill orders, and to improve this site. We never sell or rent it to anyone.
Who else handles it
Vercel hosts the site. Our database runs on a server our web developer, Stray Web Design, rents from Hetzner. Google provides Gmail, which sends us the site’s emails, as well as Google Analytics. Microsoft provides Clarity. They handle your information to run those services for us.
Google and Microsoft also use what their tools collect under their own policies. Google explains it in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and Microsoft in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Photographs
The photographs on this site are our own. We strip location information from every image before it’s published.
Getting your information, or deleting it
Call (814) 520-5047 or email pifish23@gmail.com, and tell us the email address you used. We’ll tell you everything we have under it.
If you ask, we’ll delete it. We take you off the email list, close your wholesale account, remove your name, email, phone number and note from past orders, and delete the emails the site sent us about you, including the copy our web developer’s account keeps. Then we’ll let you know it’s done.
Google Analytics and Clarity don’t know who you are, so we can’t pick your visits out. Visit data deletes itself on the schedule above.
Changes to this page
When we change what this website keeps, we update this page and the date at the top.
